A Program For Fathers By Fathers

What We Can Do for You

One on One Services

One of our Fatherhood Mentors will meet with and contact with you on a regular basis to provide parenting tips/education and connection to resources.

Community Classes

Our Community Classes are a safe space for those thinking about becoming a Father, New Fathers, Experienced Fathers, Step Fathers, Grandfathers, and Guardians to find support from peers as we progress through our parenting journeys. All of our classes are FREE and open to the public.

Community Connections

We will connect you with resources within the city of Kalamazoo such as legal support, food services, clothing, and counseling.

Encouragement, comfort, advice. Whatever help our participants need, the Fatherhood Network is always here to provide. We are a diverse group of people sharing common experiences and concerns with one another.

Kevin Lavender Jr., proud father of three, founded the Fatherhood Network in 2015 to support and empower fathers by fostering community connections and access to resources.
He is also serving as the current Executive Director.
